About Subhojyam

Subhojyam is a Sanskrit word means “Bon Appetite”, “Good meal”. In this blog you can find Indian vegetarian recipes made without onion and garlic. In a way Jain recipes with Potatoes. We always eat food without onion and garlic. People use to avoid onion and garlic on certain special days and on festival season. It is because these are considered as Tamasik food. We can see more about this in my Indian Vegetarian concept page (will be posted soon). So most of the people think that without onion and garlic there is no choice of food. But it is wrong. Even the gravies, Paneer dishes can be cooked without these, which will be tasty and you can’t find much difference in taste.

All my recipes are based on this concept.
